| Can I use my notebook power supply to charge my roomba. The output for the power supply is 19V at 3.16A Is it ok? |

From other posts I read elsewhere (this site I think), recommended is 22 or 23V at ?3?A, or thereabouts. Try a search. |

| You will not be happy with the results. Your notebook battery is lithium ion. And the roomba is either nicd or nimh batteries. They charge diffferently because of their unique chemistry. The electrons are the same and the battery will charge but it will not stop at the right time and will either undercharge the bat or overcharge it. My guess is it will undercharge it slightly. I myself love finding ways of bypassing factory designed components. But a notebook charger is not the best tool for the job. A well designed model car battery charger is closer to the mark. |
