Well the rooms 15x40 and another room next to it is 15x15 and it covered the area around 3 times and sometimes up to 10 (under our huge table with 6 chairs)
It did a VERY good job despite it geting stuck under the table 3 times (understandable). It had a hard time geting onto our carpet which is like a inch or more high from the tiled flooring...sounded like it was dieing LOL. So it had a big problem around 12 times geting from tile to carpet (but eventually managed to get onto the carpet after 5 seconds)and also it slowed down on our low pile carpet.
Let me first say my parents were furious, extremely mad when they found out I bought it. There words "only an idiot would get this crap". After I let Darth Vader loose (my mother calls it that) she had a huge smile on her face and my dad was really amazed and took back his harsh comments. It lasted 1:45 minutes until it just died/ran out of juice.
Noise- This things not loud at all! It blew me away, my parents last night were sleeping and it was vacuuming in the sunroom which is 23x15.
It vacuumed the 23x15 room EXTREMELY well, under the couchs it was piled with dust and dirt and it cleaned it awesomely. Im really surprised at how well it did. It does not vacuum amazing, just somewhat like normal vacuums but it goes over the area more than twice so it cleans double or triple...making sure the area is clean and spotless. Of course today when it did "BOTH" rooms it did leave one or two pieces of lint that you cant see unless your 3ft away from the floor. Overall it covered the two rooms about 96%. The 23x15 room it did 98% or better. It cleaned the hell out of the sunroom-23x15 room. Its not low pile carpet it is that industrial indoor outdoor carpet thats almost like tile but just a shed of carpet on top like say the carpet at bestbuy or a regular store (real real short carpet).
Im really pleased, I didnt use the homebase yet but I think I will this next time.
Oh my max time so far is 105 minutes, it was in my sunroom 23x15 room last night and lasted forever. It puts more strain on the motor than tile also. I bought mine from HS as well. |

Here's a brief user review for you:
http://spis.co.nz/hydes/roger.htm
Comments to add: not mentioned clearly in the review is that Roger does get stuck sometimes. Not often, and usually in very understandable situations. The most common is probably avoidable in some future design: sideways at the top of the stairs (doesn't fall down them though) and/or backing "up" a wall/leg/siding. Others have reported the same thing, I've noticed. Mildly annoying, but not all that common. |
