Hi, I want to get a Roomba but am worried my sunken living room may add some complications. My rationale for getting the Roomba is I can just press a button before I leave for work and voila the house will be vacuumed when I come home, except of course for minor cleanup where the Roomba can't clean. But if it can't clean the sunken living room (due to 8+ inch drop) this could be somewhat of a hassle. So what is the solution? Should I clean it separately on a different day? With this confuse the Roomba, e.g. does it "remember" the rooms it cleans?

Roomba can't go up/down stairs so it sounds like you'll have to do the sunken part separately.

No confusion will arise, it doesn't need to remember anything between cleans. Just do it at other times, e.g. just after you get home, or whatever.
