I got my discovery SE 4 days ago and I have been pleased so far except it has a nagging problem that I am wondering if others have come across.
It keeps highsiding itself around the A/C register vents in the floor. I have watched it and sometimes it goes right over the vents, other times it starts to go over and then freaks out, I assume it thinks it's going over a stair or something, and then backs itself up against the wall until it's wheels are hanging and then it's stuck.
I have been placing things over the vents like baskets etc but that is certainly not a viable solution so has anybody else noticed this and come up with a solution?
Thanks,
Rick |

If you don't have stairs on that level to worry about, you might try disabling the stair sensors by taping over them - take a look at this thread:

| I am curious, because I don't have this problem, although others have mentioned it. Do you have carpet around your vents, or is it a hard floor? My roomba goes right over the vents without complaining, except for one time when a vent came up and roomba got stuck between it and the wall. Not sure how the vent got pried up, but it's an old, quirky house. |

| My roomba just goes straight over the vents without complaining. I wonder if you were to close the vent if you would still have that problem. |
