does the roomba damage stuff from bumping into it?

I just bought one and worried about the same thing. I did notice that the plastice/rubber used for the bumber It's just like the plastic on the front of a normal vacuum. And besides the roomba's touch switches are pretty sensitive, mine bounced off of one of those thick hiking wool socks.

toad wrote: does the roomba damage stuff from bumping into it? No, it won't. The skirt (bumper) is constructed with a soft kind of plastic, perhaps ABS. This material will scratch easily, however, your furniture is much more scratch endurant. Unless of course it is constructed of a soft kind of plastic, perhaps ABS. :-)
