| I know it negates the warranty but other than that, has anyone tried to use a Roomba overseas with a heavy duty converter/ transformer? Or has anyone heard stories? |

| I am using it here with a step down converter from 220V. So far no problem after 2 week of using. |

I and numerous others have posted reports of success with this approach. Ensure the transformer delivers at least 35W 110V though (I use 50W). Others have also specified laptop-style power supplies (at least 3.5A, 22-23V). One person even suggested a minor mod (capacitor replacement) o the standard power supply to handle 220V+ input. Do a search here and on RoombaCommunity.com. All these ideas are warranty-voiders, of course.
Some caveats have been expressed about type or frequency of transformers; you'll have to search for them. As yet, I don't recall anyone reporting a problem. |
