:?: anyone out there know where i can purchase a new or used roomba discovery unit brush guard. it's the plastic (of course) piece that holds the two brushes in place.

best of luck to all.

You could order one from Roomba, but then they would realize that you might be trying to return a "defective" Roomba back to service.

They are an honest company. They deserve respect for their trust

honest nestle,

I bought a broken Roomba Red at a garage sale last week... It's seems to be missing that wire guard part, and the seller said that something else was wrong with it too.

I was told it was defective, and that the owner shipped back the wire guard to get a replacement. I want to have a go at fixing it, and I too was wondering if I can get a replacement wire guard and what it costs. I'll need one if I can get it working again...

There should be nothing dishonest about someone fixing a broken product and buying parts to complete the repair. I'll not have any kind of warranty rights, etc...

Would you please share your info about getting a wire guard and it's cost?

actually, i sent the guard back to roomba.

they told me i did not need to do that, but i wanted to as the guard was of no use to me.

you can certainly contact carol with customer service at i-robot, maybe she can click a photo of the guard for you.
