i bought a discovery model and took it to hungary as a gift. i charged it here in the states and tried it to make sure it works. everything was ok, but we can not re-charge it in hungary, since over there the electricity is 220 volt, instead of 110 volts. i need a 220 volt charger, since standard 110/220 converters are not allowed to be used per manufacturers warranty. beforehand checked out the european web sites and felt somewhat confident, that the proper 220 volt charger could be obtained overe there (austria/germany or any surrounding country if not exactly hungary), however, i already sent several e-mails, to the european web site consumer line, but i got no anwers back as of yet. its been 3-4 weeks and i feel hopeless. can anybody tell me where to get a 220 volt charger for this roomba.

i would not hesitate to use a converter.
i have used them on may products as i traveled...computers, tv's, radios, razors and more. all manufactures carry a warning not to convert but i think it is just a catch-all warning like found on a box of matches "close cover before striking." |

| You can easily get a adjustable laptop power supply, which gives you the needed 22VDC. Would not use a converter as the roomba PS does not behave weel at low voltages (I read in some other item on this forum). |
