|
|
| I used Roomba Discovery for over a month now, and I am very happy with it. However, I don't really care for the Self-Charging Base, and am thinking of replacing it with a Charging Wall Mount. Does anyone have any experience with it? Are there any problems with it? Also, does anyone know of a good place to buy it from (besides irobotstore). Thank you! |

| Given a choice between the charging home base and the charging wall mount, I prefer the wall mount (keeps it up off the floor, just tidier IMHO). The only thing to consider when placing the wall mount is that you must have an outlet somewhere near for it to plug into, natch  Oh, and since the Roomba slides in and out of it from the top, place it chest-high or lower. |

| I also think it will be tidier, and that's the reason I am seriously considering getting it. I'm just a bit concerned with the price tag: $60 + $12 shipping at irobotstore. I also checked on the flebay, but didn't see anyone selling it... |

It would be cheaper to return your Roomba Discovery and buy a Roomba Discovery SE instead.
The SE comes with the charging wall mount included, plus you get the cool grey Roomba! |

The wall mount has a hole in the bottom side so when you place the roomba in it, you can plug the charger into the roomba. Not as quick and simple as a wall charger but it serves the purpose of storing and charging. You can just switch your existing charger from the home base to a plug near the wall mount or purchase a second rapid charger.
HTH! |
