| The dirt sensor of my discovery se never turns on, or at least I have never seen it turning on. May it be a problem? What can I do to test it indeed? Thx in advance... |

Yeah, the Dirt sensor doesn't really detect dirt, it "hears" when your picking up something that makes noise.
Try coffee, cereal, or something big enough to make noise. You'll see it for sure then! |
