Roobma Discovery, Power Adapter?

It looks like the new Roomba discovery will only work on 110V outlets, I live in Australia and want to get one, but we have 240V outlets here, will the power adapter / DOCK work here?

Also, if I use a stepdown transformer allowing me to plug the 110V powersupply into 240V here in AU, what will happen with the frequency difference, i.e here in AU the freq is 50Hz, and I believe it is 60Hz in the US? maybe the best option is to get a 22V DC adapter.... but from what I've been reading some users are having issues?
