I did all these steps that I found here:

Yet my roomba is still stopping, and starting. My roomba is only two months old. :( |

I just had the same problem with my Roomba Discovery model 4220. I called support and they told me to do the following:
1. Get a can of compressed air.
2. Turn the Roomba unit over.
3. Look at the wheels, outside hubcap like thing that has the 3 silver screws holding it onto the wheels..
4. You will see if you look really hard, a couple of wires going into a little thing near the screw that is closest to the Roomba unit.
5. Using the air, blow into the opening where the wires go into the hubcap, while turning the wheels back and forth.
6. Do this for both wheels.
I thought it sounded like it wouldn't work but unbelievably, it did work!! Got to hand it to those tech guys.

By the way. I call my Roomba "Buddy". I see you call your's Jeeves. |

| I went through a whole can of air... No goo.. I am getting a new one..... I just have to send the grill..... Will do so tomorrow... |
