| I bought a Roomba Red recently and the battery life is supposed to be 120 mins after a 7 hour charge. I know that real world conditions are always a bit less, but I can only get 45 mins out of mine before it dies. What kind of life are you guys getting for your Red/Discovery Roombas? |

1 1/2 hours on carpet, 1 hour 45minutes on bare floors.
It's possible you didn't condition your battery properly when you first charged it. NiMH batteries work best by completely charging them and fully discharging them the first few uses.
Best thing to do is call iRobot and tell them that your brand new Roomba is not running long enough. They will most likely send you a new battery free of charge.

Rick Rick:
Is your statement based on somthing like this rejuvination after storage
recommendation? Or can you cite a more suitable technical reference?
"Storage...
- After long storage, e.g. over a year, it is desirable to cycle(charge/discharge) the battery 3 times to restore full capacity."
