Hi,

I am thinking about getting the Discovery SE and realise from the comments here that it will search for the docking station when it realises that it needs charging. However, my question is: Once it has charged itself up will it automatically drive away from the charger and continue its work?

I am thinking about whether it will vacuum a whole floor, recharging and continuing into subsequent rooms until you get home from work and shut it off.

Thanks guys.

Hey there,
No, unfortunatly the Roomba will not take off again once it returns to it's charger. Even it was programmed to do so, you'd probably find that the dust collection bin would only be good for one run or so. To get something that will go and recharge, empty itself and keep on going there is a robotic vacuum from Karcher that is possibly your closest bet.

That unit is RATHER expensive tho! :P
