A few times I have searched without success to see if an issue I had was already discussed, but no matter what words I put in the search window, I came up with pages of posts mostly having nothing to do with my questions; i.e. Today I wanted to know the significance of the blue light remaining on so I put "blue light" in the search window but got tons of messages to read through to see if any of them pertained to my issue. I didn't see any after reading for a very long time. I then tried just putting in the word "blue" and got the same response.
Am I using the search box incorrectly or is there some way to indicate (like on Google for instance) only bring up searches with exact phrase?
Thanks for your consideration of my question. |

Unfortunately, with the shear volume of messages that we have, it can sometimes be very difficult to find what you are looking for. Part of the new upgrade to the site that will be phased in over the next few weeks will be to make finding what your looking for much easier.
As for now though, clicking the Roomba Review Advanced Search link at the top will allow you to search for all of the words instead of any, which is the default. It will also allow you to narrow searches down further by only searching the title of the message.
Alternatively, you can also use the pull down menu in the search box at the top, and use Google to search the site. Choosing Google from the pull down menu will allow you to use all of the features and advanced search techniques that Google has to offer to perform your search. Additionally, using the Google search will search the ENTIRE site, not just the message boards.
Hope this helps!
