That would seem to be the consensus among the feline inhabitants of my newly Roombacized household. The seven cats whom I serve regarded Little Red Roombahood with mild curiosity when I unpacked it, plugged it in, and left it to charge. More pressing matters ("Feed us!") engaged their tiny minds.
Then I turned the thing on. Panicked chaos ensued.
Ed bolted upstairs immediately. The others retreated to a safe distance to watch in horrified fascination the bizarre buzzing monstrosity trundling about what had been, until then, their Happy Home.
Only one among the felines had the nerve to investigate, to stalk the wily Roomba, to see for herself just what the heck all the fuss was about.
Behold Sophie, ancient of days, bold of heart, quizzical of disposition:

The rest of the crew kept a safe distance from The Red Roomba Of Doom. They tracked its progress with trepidation as it wandered about the floors surrounding the central core of my townhouse.
Roomba set up light housekeeping in the living room. The gobsmacked gogglers watched from what they thought was a safe distance:
Sally held the high ground. Below her Fred, Squash, and Pumpkin awaited the invader's next move. Ted hunkered out of That Thing's sight, only a bit of him (the glowing eye) peeking around the corner beyond the vent grill. |

Meanwhile, the humble robot went on its humble way, cleaning, bumping into and bouncing off of solid objects, gradually making its erratic way from the living room, through the galley kitchen, and at last -- OH NO! It's coming around the corner! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!

Sophie continues to be the bravest among the felines:
Though even she will retreat if the thing gets too close. |

Ted still regards Little Red Roombahood as a Bad Idea, though he can't help being curious. Pumpkin is very curious despite his doubts:

Pumpkin, in fact, is almost as nonchalant lately as Sophie:
Of course, my poor stair-tumbling internally-erroring Roomba Version 1.0 is currently out of action, waiting to be boxed up and sent back for refurbishment. The lovely CSR promised I'd have my New! Improved! Version 1.1 in about a week. In the meantime, V1.0 lies on its back, helpless to resist the disdainful sniffs of passing felines.
But when V1.2 to arrives, the Revenge of the Roomba will strike renewed terror into their cocky little hearts. Heh... heh... heh... |

| This is very funny! Thanks for posting. I absolutely love the picture of the 4.1 cats visible mostly by their shining eyes! |

I'll try to oblige later this weekend, but the cats have gotten used to the monster and aren't nearly as amusing now. Even the new kitten got over the horror pretty quickly.
Oh, okay, just to hold you for now, obligatory generic cute kittenpic:
