I have a 4150 and I see lots of references to the factory diagnostic tests, but I haven't seen how to actually do those tests.
Could someone point me in the right direction for the tests for the 4150? |

I apologize! I should have seen that and read it. I have done so now to make sure I have covered my bases.
I ran the diagnostic and it confirmed what I originally suspected. The left wheel does not spin in reverse. Test 9a backed up in a complete clockwise circle. Test 9b showed the CLEAN button lit, but the SPOT button unlit. I picked up the unit a gently turned the left wheel. While I did so, the SPOT button lit up as intended.
Is this a motor issue? It goes forward just fine. |

| You have narrowed it down to the left wheel motor. Use a 9 volt battery and test to see if it is the motor itself or possibly a component failure on your Printed Circut Board. |

The fault is on the main_PWB. At least one of the power transistors (that steers current through the motor) has failed OPEN. Search for "hbridge" to learn about this fault's history. |
