|
|
I ran my Roomba and everything appeared to be working. But, when I went to empty my dust bin it was empty. I then ran the Roomba without the dust bin and my main brushes were not working. I then reset the Roomba by holding down the dock and spot buttons for several seconds. The brushes started working but the vacuum is still not sucking up any dust.
Any solutions I could do with out sending it back? |

| Have you performed the Demo on your 535 ? Does the vacuum motor turn on during the demo ? If a reset did not resolve the lack of a vacuum motor running during the demo mode, now would be the time to contact IRobot. |

The vacuum does not turn on during demo and I have tried to reset it twice and nothing. :(
I have already contacted iRobot. It just takes them a while to respond. I was hoping there might be another trick I didn't know about that would prevent me from returning the unit. |

My vacuum function quit working at one point, and they just sent me a new dustbin, which fixed the problem. Weird thing is, though, a couple months later I tried the old dustbin again, just to verify the problem--and it worked, too. So I don't know what the actual cause was.
Lesson: never throw away old Roomba parts, even if they seem defective! |
