I am working on two problems.
1. I have dark furniture and a dark brick fireplace hearth both do not slow my 500 series bot. I have ordered black 3m reflective tape to attach to the bottom of the furniture and bottom of the brick to reflect the IR and possibly slow the bot. I will update the board when experiment is completed.
2. Metal bed frame legs scratching the IR faceplate on 500 series. I currently use 2.5" sections of cardboard mailing tubes slid over the legs to act as a bumper and keep the metal frame from scratching the faceplate. I plan to add some black refelctive tape to these also to slow the bot.
more to come. |

roombob,
That would be nice to know if the reflective tape would actually work on those kinds of things.
Keep us informed. |
