| I got my new Roomba 4220 today. Put in on the charger for it's initial charge which is supposed to be 16 hours but according to the light it is already done (less then 4 hours- I wasn't watching it). I figured I'd leave it overnight anyway but thought I'd ask here because maybe I did something wrong :? Does the light blink all 16 hours when it's charging initially? |

| IRobot just recommends that you charge your battery at least 16 hours before the first use. It helps balance the internal cells of your NiMH battery. Most Roombas indicate a green battery status indication after just a few hours. The charging system is still continuing to apply a small charge to the battery even though it indicates charging is complete. |

Thanks! I will allow it to charge overnight. |

kristac, When you start using your Roomba 4220, I'm curious to know how long it ran on the full charge. I bought one 2 weeks ago from Amazon.com and the longest it ran on a full charge was 45 minutes until it stopped and the Power button blinks (and I have to recharge).
Thanks. |
