If I were to get impatient and buy a 4xxx-series Roomba this afternoon, is there any store that's likely to actually have a 4xxx pet upgrade kit in stock for immediate purchase? I live in Fort Lauderdale and work in Miami, so I have pretty much every major big box store besides Fry's (sigh) at my disposal.

I did a search of the usual suspects (Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, BB&B, LnT, etc), but the results weren't terribly encouraging (and in a few cases, not terribly conclusive. In any case, I suspect the pet upgrade kit is one of those items that falls between the cracks... either an "online only" item (if it's listed), or an item that might be randomly present in a store somewhere, but isn't listed and/or tracked via the web site.

I'm planning to hit Brandsmart (a local store that tends to sell stuff like this, especially if it's last year's model), but any additional stores would be welcome suggestions :)

Check out Buy.com. They were selling a 400 for less than $100 and no shipping. I have one and it is a work horse.

i'm not absolutely sure, but roombaexchange.com might be located in fort lauderdale. i know it sounds like a lot of us rave about this co., and the guy who runs it, chris, and there is a reason, and it isn't bc he gives us a kickback. he's very knowledgeable and helpful. PM him, he might be yr best bet.
i have not found pet upgrade kits in local stores. about the only roomba part i have found is replacement filters. you can find them on eBay, at roombaexchange.com, and from iRobot.

eh, sorry. geographically challenged. my sis lives near jacksonville, and that's about the extent of my grasp on FL

on a more serious note, iRobot has a decent deal on their pet upgrade kit, and for 29.99 you get the required bale, plus 2 bristle brushes (though the item description only says one, other forum members have received 2) as well as the other things. try FREESHP as promo code when you check out, i got that from this forum and it worked when i tried it minutes ago.
