How much daily/weekly maintenance does the Trilobite EL520A require to keep it in good working order, above and beyond emptying/changing dust bags and cleaning/replacing its filter? Specifically, when used daily in an environment with two cats.

From what I've read, its effectiveness at cleaning floors is a tiny bit below that of the 4xxx and 5xx-series Roombas (especially near walls and in corners), but I could live with that if it meant being able to painlessly use it daily without having to bother with anything in the way of cleaning or maintenance beyond occasionally emptying its dust bag and replacing its filter.

So... CAN you literally get away with just plugging in its dock, setting it up, and launching it daily... with little in the way of responsibility beyond emptying the waste and replacing its filter? Or does it require almost as much daily attention as a typical 4xxx-series Roomba to keep it working reliably?

That is exactly all that I do with the three of mine. The only thing I had to do to each of them right after I bought them was to put some lithium grease on the bearings of the beater bar (it appears they didn't put much on them from the factory). It was easy to do and I have not had to do it since. All I do is empty them and change the filter. That's it. Much more vacuum than my 4xxx's. It is a true vacuum around the beater bar. Nothing has ever got into the bearings on my Trilobites.
