I have noticed that a lot of people seem to struggle with adding digital photos to their posts or use the wrong method. I thought I would offer some assistance.
If you have Windows XP (does not work with Vista) there is a free Microsoft Image Resizer download that allows you to resize your pictures quickly and easily. In some cases, a picture will not post in the forum because it was too large when you took it with your camera. You want the large size for clarity but not for posting.
Go to this link and scroll down the RIGHT SIDE of the screen until you come to Image Resizer and click to download and install:

Once the program is installed (you won't see anything special on your computer) you simply locate a picture on your computer, RIGHT CLICK on it. Then a menu comes up of things to do and one of them is RESIZE. Choose that and it says SMALL, MEDIUM or LARGE. Then you can add the resized smaller image to your post.
Another thing people do here is use the ATTACH feature vs the UPLOAD IMAGE feature when posting. If you UPLOAD it works better and does not come in as huge or with the box around it as you see in some posts. |
