Uh oh.. I ran my roomba without the filter, now what?

When I did my regular maintenance after using my roomba the last time, I forgot to put the filter back in and now it only runs for 3 minutes and then gives the "uh oh, beep, beep, beep" sound. I took apart the dustbin and brush assembly and cleaned it but apparantly dust got in other spots and now it won't run for more than 3 minutes. The three minutes that it does run seem perfectly normal in all respects.

FYI- It's the Roomba Sage, model 4110.

Any ideas on what I may need to fix? Has anyone else made this mistake?

The robot's vacuum is stalled.

• Remove and empty the dirt bin • Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the grill at the back of the debris bin • Spin the vacuum impeller around, shaking out any debris that may be stuck • Replace the grill and the dust bin.

Yes, but only once!!!!! :wink:

I completely tore the dust bin down and cleaned everything out. There was all kinds of gunk and debris in the motor housing which I cleaned out and then oiled both ends of the motor shaft before putting everything back together. It's never been quite the same and every now and then makes a LOUD squealing noise but actually seems to be getting better with time. I do have an extra dust bin so if push comes to shove I can always replace the vacuum motor if it ends up getting worse again.

I do think the debris is in the motor housing. I also tore down the dust bin and cleaned it. I just double checked it and all is good. Now I need to find out how to tear down the rest. I'm just glad there's hope.

I tore it down completely, cleaned it all out, put it back together, and then started it and I was feeling very hopeful when it ran for 6 minutes, then it gave the "uh oh one beep" code, which I assume means brushes or bruses. The brushes are very clean, as well as their sides. Do I need to take it apart again?
