I now have 4 roombas that clean my house. To keep them seperated I have a VW set at max range. The beam of the VW is a huge pie shape. Judging from where the roomba stops it is as much as an 80 degree wedge. If I put a polarizing filter in front of the IR sensor on a virtual wall would it do anything to thin the beam down?
I know if it was visible light this would work but IR I am not sure about. |

One way you can check is through your digital camera by looking through the LCD screen.
You can check on the side of the beam as to when you can see it. Put on the filter, and see if the beam has narrowed. |

See if this mod I did on a Scooba VW will help with your VW issue.
