I got a White Discovery that I am trying to get fixed. It exhibits the symptoms of a bad wheel drop switch and the diagnostics show the same. However when each of the switches are bench tested they show as good. I even went so far as to trace back through the pcb to the next soldered terminal and checked for continuity there. It appears to have good continuity through the switch and back through one link of the pcb. Has anyone experienced this before? It really would be a shame to part out this machine as the PO said it never really ran and the machine itself show basically 0 use.

arnard, have you tried resetting the Roomba? Take out the battery and press the power button for at least 10-15 seconds. Replace battery and try again.

Since you said you have bench tested the switch, and verified it's getting up to the PCB, I'm afraid that it might be on the PCB. You have done what you can do by running the diagnostics, and checking the switch.

Maybe someone will chime in that knows what is causing this issue. But, I'm leaning more towards a PCB. You can check with Chris who runs Roomba Exchange to see how much that would be. It might be worth you fixing it up. Not sure how much you spent on it already..
