Hello to all in forum.
I have a Roomba Discovery. The last days when roomba get started in clean mode does not make her typically spiralling pattern.Roomba starts going straight forward and never follows the right wall as always did.All diagnostic tests have been PASS.
I have cleaned bumber and cliff sensors.I have also opened both wheels and cleaned very well the whole debris inside, and also cleaned with alcohol the tachometer sensor-leds inside the wheels.
Alhough in diagnostic tests #7 and #8 which is left and right wheel motor seems to be allright, when i try to move Roomba to the right with the remote control the robot refuses to move and make that noise 'ug ooh'.I think that one sensor blocks Roomba from turning to the right, but i cannot find it.
I m waiting for your help. Thank you. |

| Actually, I have a rescue-bot that does the same thing on startup, and I was wondering what might be wrong. (I don't have any other details on mine, because I haven't spent any time on the problem yet. But it's a Disco, also.) |

Each wheel contains an IR-LED mounted in the belt-cover, and a photo-transistor, (PT), detector directly across the chamber (on the opposite side of the slotted light-chopper wheel). Did you clean the lenses of the LEDs & PTs?
I suggest that you concentrate on Test-9. Re-read its paragrapghs and understand the flickering Clean & Spot button requirement as indicators during that test. |
