I purchased a dirt dog about 11 months ago. It seems like the battery is dying -- after charging, it now only operates for about 40 minutes maximum before needing to be recharged. Do I have to buy a new battery, or should this be covered by warranty?

Your still under warranty. Hurry up and call iRobot to get a replacement battery!! :D
