Hi all,
I haven't posted here in a while. I've been too busy hacking my Create :)
Here's my take on a "CamBot". It's basically a tripod mounted on a Create with some sonar sensors and a pan-tilt video sender unit on top. The tripod doesn't completely eliminate wobble, but it is more resistant to it than a monopod I think. It also lets me swap out cameras, from, say, the video-sender unit to an IP-based webcam or anything that uses a standard tripod-mount screw.
I've put up details on the design and build on my blog here |

Thanks!
That isn't technically "my" Create. It actually was a comission piece for a local science fiction convention here in the Bay Area that wanted a CamBot to wander around and do video and stills of the activity and events going on @ there. It was a lot of fun and gave me some ideas on how to improve things on my own Create. [/url] |

| So you're the one that fixed that guy up. I saw the posts on the Create forum about a fella needing some help with making a Create do that. That's still some nice programming. |
