I have a question on the string on the 4000 model that holds the brush deck at the correct height, is there anything special about this string? I had one break and had enough slack to temporary repair it, but I need to go to the hardware store and get something to replace it. I know the knot has to be measured so the deck is at the right height. But I was wondering about the string itself, not sure if string comes in like a gauge type, kind of like electric wire does, and is there some special brand or maybe some type of thread count I should be looking for.

I know this maybe a simple question for you pro’s but if I have to take Midnight back apart I want to make sure that I get the correct string. Oh yes the Roomba is black and runs at midnight in the living room so hence the name” Midnight”.
