[Rant ON]

I've manged to find possible alternatives to various components available in Europe but I just can't find anywhere that sells the 7 pin mini din cables needed to plug the robot into a pc!

Why is it Americans get all the good stuff!

I had come across that site before but they want $22.50 to ship a $10.95 cable. Total $33.90!!

Thats WAY too excessive for my liking.

Thanks for the link tho.

Sorry id didn't check my pm ... Do you mean you need 5 plugs ? If so i would have to order more. For five it would be 7,5€ euros + shipping to your location.

The 08387 is not a mini-Din, but a normal din that won't fit the robonova. I think you mean 09914. Do you need five 48312 at 3€ each ?

Good day!

From 1st hand experience I can say the the 8-pin mini-DIN commonly used on Macs as a printer connector WILL work with a Dirt Dog.

You can get a 2m long 8-pin plug to open ends cable from Lindy Electronics from http://www.lindy.co.uk/apple-serial-diy-printer-cable-2m/38008.html or a 5m plug to socket extensions cable from http://www.lindy.co.uk/apple-mac-serial-port-extension-cable-5m/33051.html.

Hope this helps someone!

Spike
