i have not played with the green discovery roomba much other than change out the battery.
it worked for a while with the new battery but then stopped.
it charges up to a green light and when i hit the clean button, it emits a very soft duh de duh duh and the orange and red lights go on and it charges for a few minutes and goes to a green light.
i have tried to read the testing posts but i can't figure out how to begin analyzing the problem.
i'm sure that my problem is not new and would appreciate if someone could point me to the way to start fixing it.

Disconnect the power supply from your Roomba or remove it from the home base. Remove the battery and press the Pwr button for 10 seconds. Replace the battery and proceed to this URL. Be very careful and read the instructions and what tests are performed a couple of times and when you feel you're ready perform the factory tests.

If you can find a friend with a roomba who will loan their charger and base, do that. Usually a charging circuit problem looks like the roomba is charging and never does although it turns green after several hours. If, after charging on the other equipment, it still won't run, the problem is likely the charging circuit. If the roomba is still under warranty, it would be easy to have irobot send a new base or charger if that is the problem or a new roomba if it's a charging circuit problem. It is unusual for a new battery to die so soon so look to other causes like those I mentioned. Your old battery may not even be a goner...
Good luck!
