I use my roombas every day multiple times, but I have finally concluded that I need to supplement my roomba efforts with a bi-weekly regular upright vacuum cleaning in order to get the rugs really clean and not just looking clean. I need a lightweight, self-propelled, hepa filter upright. I prefer bagged. It needs to be lightweight because of neck and arm problems. I bought a Riccar RSL3 on Friday and found it is not self-propelled and my neck has suffered from doing rugs over weekend so the machine is going back. Any suggestions? The rsl3 is only 8 pounds and that was appealing and it appeared self-propelled in the store but not at home on my medium pile rugs. Riccar, when I emailed them, said none of their machines are self-propelled. I am willing to pay $200-$300 -- of course would prefer to pay less. Does anyone have any suggestions?
